This is a very challenging time for the aviation industry. Today, we're taking the first major step in our response to the coronavirus emergency.

Starting Monday, we are making Rotabull free to small businesses globally. Rotabull empowers sales teams to work remotely safely and easily, by letting them collaborate and quote anywhere with internet access. You won't need to deal with insecure remote desktop access to win orders.

This policy will last for the next 6 months, and then we will re-evaluate. This obviously doesn't come without tradeoffs for us, but we think it's the right thing to do.

Work-from-home policies are a way to keep your business running while slowing down the spread of the outbreak. We don't want cost of the tools for remote work to be a barrier to implementing these policies.

Coronavirus is pushing sales teams to work remotely.

So far, we've seen dramatic capacity cuts of more than 30% already loaded into airline schedules. Experts predict it will get worse before it gets better. While it's too soon to know all the downstream effects, we expect a comparable drop in aftermarket sales and MRO volume. Airlines and MROs are taking aggressive steps to conserve cash.

Keeping in-person sales operations going 24/7 is at odds with the social distancing policies recommended by an increasing number of health authorities.

Working remote comes with communication and security challenges.

At the same time, moving to a remote sales operation has its own challenges. If you weren't already working remote as a norm, you may not have the tools in place to communicate effectively.

Using remote desktop to access your on-premise applications may not be allowed by IT. Even if permitted, it comes with significant security risks (as the FBI has warned).  You shouldn't have to risk being hacked to work remotely.

So, we're doing our part.

To address this, we are making Rotabull free for new small business for the next 6 months. By September 16, we will assess whether to continue this policy. Although we won't be able to offer this policy forever, we want to do our part to support the industry during this difficult time.

Note: we are following the US small business administration's definition for "small business". In most cases, for parts distributors and repair shops, this will mean companies with fewer than 150 employees.

We will also provide free onboarding and training for these businesses, to get them up to speed as quickly as possible.

Please contact our team at smallbusiness@rotabull.com with any questions about this.

We are here to support you.

We are committed to doing our best to help keep your business running continuously. Together, we will move through this challenging time, and come out the other end.
